Your First Visit

Walk into our lobby where you will be greeted by our friendly staff. Feel free to help yourself to the amenities at our refreshment center while we take you on a mini tour and familiarize you with your new dental home. Our goal is to keep your appointments on time and receiving the valuable care you need, rather than your time spent with paperwork and a pen in the lobby. We will gladly supply your New Patient questionnaire, privacy policy and important medical history in advance of your appointment. If you are working with any dental insurance to help you with your visits, you may provide this information and we will do a thorough verification of your benefits and any history in advance of your visit.

Initial Examination

Please reserve one hour for your initial dental exam. The expert staff at Napa - Villa Lane Dental will ask you questions, get to know your oral hygiene routine, and listen to your health concerns. We will take a full series of digital diagnostic images that will allow us to see the health of your teeth above and below the gum line. Our caring and gentle Dental Hygienist will check the health of your gums and supporting bone and determine the type of cleaning you will need. Our skilled and friendly doctor will do a tooth by tooth examination to see how any old dentistry is holding up and the current condition of your teeth. We believe in educating patients and empowering them to make good choices to improve their oral health. We will demonstrate how to properly care for your teeth and make additional suggestions as needed. Your treatment coordinator will thoroughly check any dental benefits and will offer ways to help you achieve any recommended treatment with affordable and easy payment options. If your schedule is busy, please let us know if we should reserve a visit for diagnosis only or diagnosis and treatment time, we are happy to accommodate your needs.

Pain Concerns

We work to ensure our patients feel comfortable, and that includes minimizing their pain as much as possible. If you are undergoing a dental procedure, Drs. Goodwill and Silverman will meet with you to discuss your pain tolerance and create a plan for pain management. Working together, we will treat your dental health problems in a way that minimizes pain and enables you to get back to your life faster.

Dental Insurance

We accept a variety of insurance providers and endeavor to accommodate our patient’s request. Many times we can do a thorough benefit verification with the name and telephone number of the insurance company, the subscribers date of birth and an ID or SS number. We are happy to do this in advance of your appointment to prepare for any diagnosis and treatment recommended.
